The AP Racing ENP (Electroless Nickel Plated) finish is a durable, low-porosity coating for their high-performance brake calipers, offering superior corrosion resistance, easy cleaning, and resistance to brake fluid staining, making it ideal for demanding track use while maintaining a jewel-like appearance. This tough, uniform finish, applied to complex aluminum caliper bodies, resists scratches and chips better than paint and provides a hard, long-lasting surface even under extreme heat and chemical exposure, perfect for competition

CARBON BRAKE CARS, Please note:

Due to the OEMs increase in brake piston area and finely tuned ABS for Carbon brakes, we do not recommend the AP kit for this model. As the development mule for this platform along side Essex/AP, we struggled with braking performance until the stock calipers were re-installed.

Initially, we thought the struggle in braking performance was the carbon brake vs Iron brake, but we have since learned and run exceptionally fast on the Girodisc Iron brake setup that this is not the case, and the issue stems from the Lack of piston area that the AP calipers offer.

OEM Carbon brake front caliper piston area is 5500mm^2  vs  the AP at 5000mm^2. The OEM rear caliper piston area is  4572mm^2 vs the AP at 3970mm^2.

The OEM iron brake cars (Z51, Z06) have similar piston area as AP kit (Minus a bias change with rear caliper differences) and  have shown positive results with the AP Big brake kit.
