C7 Corvette Penske Coilover Kits
What's the difference between each series of Penske damper?
The 7500 series single adjustable non-coilover monotube is a full OEM length and full OEM stroke non-coilover option. The single rebound adjuster is internal to the shaft and acts directly on the main piston for instantaneous response. The adjuster itself is easily accessed at the upper eyelets. Dual-bleed adjusters are always an available upgrade.
The 8300 series double adjustable non-coilover package features a single shaft rebound adjuster and a high-speed compression adjuster on the remote reservoir. This is the latest entry-level, double adjustable shock offered by Penske Racing Shocks. The front shocks are body up to reduce unsprung weight.
The 8700/8760 series triple adjustable non-coilover package features a single shaft rebound adjuster and independent high and low-speed compression adjustment on the remote reservoir. The front shocks are body up to reduce unsprung weight.
NOTE: PLEASE CHOOSE the correct Tire compound and Aero configuration you intend to run, and we'll choose the correct spring length and Rate for you!
The coilover packages are 1" shorter overall than the OEM shocks due to clearance issues between the coil-spring and the upper control arm. You will need to lower the car to have enough rebound stroke. Slight bending of the rear parking brake may also be necessary.
